Yay! I just got my valentine 1 today in the mail. Its really nice. It feels like it is well constructed (over ones that my friends have). I have yet to go out and test it...maybe drive in front of a police station or something...see how it works.

BTW, I wish I had it yesterday because I got a fuggin ticket yesterday. My second one and this time I cannot take traffic school. He said that I was going 60 in a 35 mile zone (it was nothing but open road and I should have seen him but I was arguing with my GF). I think it is complete BS because I am like 95 percent sure I was not going 60...faster than 35, yes, but NOT 60. He said that is what his radar said. What do you guys think I should do? I hear that if I contest it and ask for a court date and if he (the officer) doesnt show up, that they throw the case out and I get my money back (aparently I have to pay the ticket first before going to court). ANY IDEAS?

Go to court, if you can't get it dropped fully most likely it will be reduced. Try asking when teh gun was last tested, I know that is the best way to get out fo the ticket.

I dunno.... if you were speeding, I'd just plead guilty and try to get it reduced.

If you ever get pulled over and the cop tells you that you were going marginally faster than you think you wer always always ALWAYS ask to see the read out on the radar gun. 99% of legitimate cops will actually show if that's actually how fast you were going. Plus if they bullshit around it you can use that against them in court. After all...they don't have any actual proof that you were going that fast. It's worked for me before. But then again I have a lot of free time on my hands. :)
