APC UPS Recall

The affected units are the Back-UPS CS350 and Back-UPS CS500.

Model #'s: BK350, BK500, BK500BLK

Serial Numbers: (first 6 digits only) (found on bottom of unit)

AB0048 through AB0251
BB0104 through BB0251
JB0125 through JB0251

All units with an "R" at the end of the serial are not part of the recall.

If yours matches any of the above IMMEDIATELY disconnect your unit.

If you are using an affected UPS (like me) please register your UPS at www.apc.com/rely asap. They will send you a new unit.

It is important to read the directions after you get your RMA number. You will need to disconnect the battery from your current unit to use in the new unit.

you can also call APC 9-5 EST M-F at 866-272-7359 and request your unit over the phone.

not that i recall.

and you must realize APC makes about 1000 different power products.

one or two models recalled a year is pretty good.
