Has anyone noticed a pretty high increase in gas prices since Bush's speech. Like it seemed that it suddenly shot threw the roof. Gas around here is like $1.60 now and still climbing.

Must be nice to be able to use the cheap stuff....
I have to use premium, so I'm paying ~$1.79.
I saw at lunch they had some for $1.39 which is low for Ohio.

here its
between 71c and 79c /litre its still not bad. I can just remember seeing it at 48ish when i was younger. Lowest i've seen it in the last 3-4 years was 56c.
I'm not sure what bush has to do with the price of gas... but ok

State of the Union Address....
That seems to always make prices go up. That & the threat of war.

Yeah that threat of war close to the places where the oil comes from jacks up the prices!

gas bids are controled by future demand, not current. if they see a cut in supply then they raise prices. bushes talk of war is more real than ever and people are fearing for the worst. and usa controls north american oil prices, so if we goto war, its going to reflect on canada.
