I have heard of all kinda of different headers, i have 500 bucks right now and i wanna get well........headers. so i was wondering what do you think would be your pick in that price range and get the most bang for your buck?

best bang for the buck is probably DC sports...but it also depends on what you want out of it. If you wanna SC then kamikaze is the way to go but only if SC'ing other wise its too freeflowing.
4-2-1 for low end power
4-1 for high end power (good on the highways...but thats about it...trust me on that one cause thats what I got...yeah its good on tourismo style stuff too but I doubt any of us are gonna do that too often)

what is SC'ing?

so would the 4-1 headers actually be beneficial for gas milage then?

Supercharging

Gas mileage would probably suffer due to lack of low end and needing to really step on it to get going. Just my thoughts though, I'm not sure.

DC, Stainless, 4-2-1

course, if you have the money, might as well go with ceramic...

Yeah, and they are more robust too.

ok but how much are they? and does the type (ie. stainless and ceramic) effect performance?

stainless will make your engine bay hotter....

as for as asthetics, stainless looks good if you polish it all the time, but other than that its gonna be nasty.. ceramic stays... ceramic...

my ceramic DC 4-2-1 was 309..

I don't know if its been fixed or not, but people were having problems with ceramic cracking, etc. when they were newer. I haven't looked into headers for awhile though...

i would get a 4-2-1 stainless steel header...and stainless steel headers does not get your engine bay hotter because it tends to insulate compared to mild steel. ceramic coated headers tends to insulate also, but stainless steel already does this without using any type of coating.... and this coating tends to flake if its overheated... maybe there's a reason stainless cost more...;)
