Okay, I finally found the color paint I want for my car. But the problem is that the paint is off a Nissan that never made it to the states. I called the Nissan dealership in town, and they can't get the paint since the car never made it here. So I went to Nissan's Japanese site, and lo and behold it is all in Japanese. Big surprise, right? So I was wondering if someone who knew Japanese could go there and see if they could find the paint for me. Thanks, all.

Oh yeah, the color is called Bayside Blue and the code is TV2.

Won't a phone call to Japan be kind of expensive?

I know what the paint is, name, code, etc. But the problem is where to get it. I already have the code, I just need the paint itself now. But I am trying to avoid having it mixed by a local shop because I don't think they would get it right. I am trying to get it direct from Nissan to insure accuracy, but to do that I will have to get it from Nissan Japan. And I would really like to avoid spending hours on the phone trying to find someone in the Japanese Nissan office that speaks english.

the code tells the shop how to mix it. just go to a shop that uses good paint

Actually, I think I have found a supplemental color. The Daytona Blue on the new 350 Z's is almost identical to Bayside Blue. Just a little darker. So I am calling the dealership to see if they can get that one. If so, I will probably just get that instead. Thanks, though.
