That's a tough one because every girl seems to want something different. Some are happy with a nice floral arrangement, others with a single rose, others won't be happy till they get chocolates, others want the most romantic day of their lives every year over and over again.....
So not knowing your girlfriend, I can't offer much advice other than do what you think will make her the happiest. And if you don't know what'll make her happy.....well good luck.

Yeah, every girl is different. My GF likes when I get her roses and do something romantic such as writing a song and singing it to her (Did that last year and highly recommend it.

OK! I know I say this alot, but check redenvelope.com - They really do have some great stuff. And, if you don't purchase anything from there, they often help to spark ideas of your own.
Depending what your girl is into... you could send her flowers, which always works, but try something like lillies or some other neat looking flower like that to be original.
Just by tuning in to what she says while talking...pick out some song that she really really likes that comes on the radio & buy her the c.d. Or, make her a cd of songs that she likes.
Pay for her to get her nails done...take her to the mall, her favorite clothing store & tell her to pick out 2 or 3 things she likes 'scott-free'.
There's a few of my ideas. Hit me up if you need more. ;)

Something simply understated is my style, maybe a flower, and some of those smelly soaps... but really anything goes. Aslong as you've put some thought into what you've gotten her it really shouldn't matter "what it is" but more the meaning behind why you gave it to her.
