for those of you out there that own a 97 civic ex, are there 4-wheel disk breaks, or is it front disk and rear drums?

They should come with discs in the front, and drums in the rear. You can get a disc brake conversion done.

aem makes a kit that costs way too much...just get the rear discs off a 99-00 Si or an Integra (94-01 i think...i dont know the integra yrs) they bolt right on

don't buy a "rear drum-to-disk" conversion kit...i think its too damn expensive, but if you have the money...then go ahead...

If your car has ABS then it has rear disc if not then NO. The rear disc brakes on the 94-01 integ and 99-00 Si are decent but a pain in the ass if the calipers are frozen. If your're not going to do some heavy autox I wouldn't bother with it.
