All I have as far as performance on my 96 civic ex is an intake and a catback exhaust. I'm going to be getting some 17's with springs and struts soon. I was wondering what would be something $500 or less that would give me the most power. I was thinking of a lightweight flywheel.

I think Nitrous would give you the most hp for the buck. But if you don't wanna do that, do header, pulleys, cams

it all depends...are you going to go FI? NA? swap? from there you should make decisions.

If I do an engine swap or forced induction it will be after I am out of college and working which will probably be about 3 years. For now I just want some more power without spending too much.

wel im sure you can find a decent turbocharger for around the price of nos. just search on ebay and different places and see what you come up with.

get one of those "TORNADO" Thingys...lol just messin'...

header, 'underdrive' pulleys, cam gear, camshaft, larger throttle body, intake manifold,high-flow cat converter....i'd go with an aftermarket header first..just so ur engine can "breathe" better, also it'll make a great addition with your current mods..

your def. not gonna find a turbo for the price of nos

if your gonna do a swap later, id just get nos now. if you were to buy a bolt on turbo system it would just end up being a waste, cuz you wouldnt be able to use all the pieces on your new engine

actually you can get a t25 turbo for under $500, but of course that is just the turbo :)

get a header. a lightweight flywheel is not the power adder you're looking for, you'll rev hella quicker though.

i have nitrous oxide.. i love it..

you want performance??? then DON'T get 17's since they don't ad performance they actulay hinder it.. 17's performance and civic do NOT belong in teh same sentance...

NOS nitrosu oxide kit $475... can't beat it..

Dude save it up for force induction/swap or get some N2O. Flywheel and adjustable cam gears will not give you what you really want....... for now. Otherwise, you might as well spend money on cosmetics. IMO
