Lol, just disable the messenger that's running as a service :)

Depending on OS: control panel --> administrative tools --> services --> messenger.exe, right click --> properties --> disable.

Messenger is great to mess with people.

even easier...

open windows explorer. go to your hard drive > program files then right click on the messenger folder and hit rename. make it anything other than messenger and windows will be unable to find it.

simple as that. and you can use it from the folder if you ever need it. as far as that goes you can rename the folder back to messenger if you want it back all the time.

Does this method slow anything down or cause errors when windows looks for messenger?

nope. it sees that it can't find the folder and goes on with normal operations. never had any performance drawbacks with this method.

or...you can go to start>run and then copy and paste

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

and that will completly remove msn messenger

No, he's talking about just like a VB based window. Like an alert window, it just comes out of no where. Says something about a message being broadcasted to his IP most likely. I get the same thing at home, sure it has something to do with porn browsing but i'm not sure what to do.

No, like we said, its windows messenger. Disable it and you won't get those.

These windows just pop up and try to ping servers or show me messages... I hate it.
