for those of you who remember my DYI interior paint job, now comes phase 2, custom interior lighting. this was a job that required about 170 bucks for the stuff. im sure you are all familiar with street glow. they do indeed make extremely nice products. this project took me about 2 days to do mostly because i was waiting on a backordered product from sounddomain.com (which i highly reccomend, excellent service, especially for those of you who are on the west coast, VERY fast delivery!) any questions feel free to ask. i also rigged up my own switch with green LED just incase the pigs decide to pull out some law from their ass and give me a fix it ticket ( you can see it on the cigarette lighter console piece). this was also kinda difficult because of all the wiring. the sub box had to be the trickest simply because i had to drill some holes :loco: on the bottom of my new sub box to tuck the wires and hide them. theres also lights in the rear portion of the car just like in the front, making the entire flooring and some sides visible with blue. i just couldnt get a decent pic of them right now.
also some pics of my car from the outside and my new fangled side markers that kick ass.

hondaman: still waiting on those! as well as the exterior lights for the under part of the car.

soch-vtec: its time consuming about 2 hours. you have to know how to wire stuff up and to mark the right areas and drill. in my case i wired them up to turn on when my turn signals go on. unlike some ive seen that stay on all the time. i replaced them with clear bulbs to give that high tech feel to it i guess you could say.

scorch:its easy. you just stick a small or medium sized flathead screwdriver between the sides of the vents and the body that houses them, and pry one end out and the other should come out too. you could even put one flathead on each side and do both at the same time so it comes clean out if you want. and yea, i took extra care in fact to make sure that hardly any wire shows at all. in fact you cant find any unless you take the floormats out and remove some of the panels.

lol, DYI, IDY, DIYID, you know what i mean ;) i used neon tubes all around. 10 inch ones in the sub box, 6 inch ones in the rear (pic not available) and 15's under the seats with 3 inch tubes behind the AC vents. ill take pics soon of the whole inside of the car with all the lights on and after i get reverse indiglo gauges ;)

I like it... does it ever get annoying though, since you have the neons on the bottom, when you move your legs, the light distracts you?

like having a flashlight from the ground pointed up between your legs (aimed at your face)... like when you move around.

teriyaki, nah not really. since its a cool color its actually relaxing. if it was red or orange or something really bright it would definately distract me. plus thanks to rigging up the switch, if it ever did get annoying i could just turn it off.

and yea, that would be pretty cool. is it some beat up hatch back or someting? let me know id be glad to help.

Nope, It'll be a 96-00 (6th gen) hatchback, It'll have the sleeper look I guess. Won't get a body kit until I really have the money to. I'm pouring about 5-6k into the engine and turbo.
