i think the engine mod forum for each car should be with the main forum(example: prelude engine modificatin with the main prelude forum), cause its hard to single that one out, suspension, style and all, they are all interlinked somehow saves from double posts.

yeah man, i discussed that with the webmaster. he agreed to change it. i'm just waiting for B18C5 (engine mod moderator) to respond. i'm just waiting for him to reply, so doesnt get singled out.

it will eventually going to happen. people will post a civic engine mod question under the civic forum anyway. same goes to all other type of car forum. the engine mod forum is just too general. plus, if a question for engine mod is posted under it's respective car forum, it will draw more attention where members can relate better........

Your voice has been heard .. All changes are now in effect. Thanks for the suggestion - it's a good one ;)

i just read it and i worded it wrong, i dont think that is should be a sub thread of the cars main thred, cause theres no point to have a separate engine mod place to post. it just splits the posts up to much to make it easy navigation.

I agree- no sub-forum for engine modifications. That's what 90% of the posts are going to be anyways.

So how/where do you want it?

Honestly, I don't think we need it quite yet. Maybe when we generate a LOT more traffic, and have a couple thousand members. However, right now, it is just one more forum that we are having to check.

I agree- leave it part of the individual model forum, no sub forums for engine modifications.

I just said the same thing like 3 times. Leave me alone- I've been working for 15 hrs.

I will do this if you guys tell me exactly what you want (remember, I'm clueless on the car stuff).

Do you want the engine modifications sub-forums from each model removed and the posts just thrown in with the general discussions... do you want just one engine mod category under Honda... tell me, tell me, tell me. Be specific ;)

Does that mean yes? ;)

yeah- just move anything in the engine modification forum to that model's forum, and icksnay the engine modification sub-forum. BTW- need to get that old forum off the front page...

Are you sure you want to do that? I think it would be better to leave it as it is to avoid a horrendous amount of work in the future.

Think bigger picture - what we are doing now is preparing for our future expansion. At the rate we are going, once we are public released we should see a huge surge in our userbase. Why wait until that point and be reactive when we can plan ahead and be proactive..?

Just my thoughts...but what do I know? ;)

I tend to agree (and it's not just because we are in the same room..!)

what if we kept a sub forum, but it was how to's instead of engine modifications, so we can include suspension installs and such also?

this is what everybody is saying, the forum should look like this:
Honda-
-Civic (or any honda)

*delete the engine modification forum for each car*
*delete the all engine modification altogether*

what happens is this:
members will tend to post an engine modification forum on the normal (which is the type of car forum) forum for his/her car.

another scenario: since i own a civic, if i have question on changing a piston, i would post the thread on the regular civic forum. NOT on the engine modification forum for the civic. it will draw more attention because, it is posted in a higher traffic area.

usually, questions about engine modifications are posted in its respective car type forum anyway.........

Okay men, I think I have finally ironed this whole dillemma out. I moved all the threads for each engine modification forum into the forum for that car model... then subsequently deleted the evil engine modification sub-category.

Did I finally do it right?

HondaLady-you are doing an excellent job in making sure this site is going great. Everyone appreciates your hard work. Tell Chris hes doing great also.

HondaLady, you kick ass. And in 2ndGenTeg land, that's quite an honor, and a title not lightly bestowed up on someone. I think you should change your title to "I Kick Ass- 2ndGenTeg Says So."

"I Kick Ass- 2ndGenTeg Says So."
Thats a great title for HondaLady. I'm sure she is so eagerly anticipating the change to her title.

Actually, I think I'm going to look into getting a t-shirt with that printed on the front...

-LOL-

I think you should get a massive body decal and put it on your Sol, or get it tatooed on your forehead.

Short of that, the T-Shirt idea is acceptable, I guess. :D
