So here's a question for guys & gals.

Let's say you have an apt. What would classify as someone you're seeing, or your b/f or g/f moving in?

Is it when they leave a toothbrush at your place & spend every night w/you...

Is it when they take showers at your place & stay every night...

Is it when they move their clothes in....

Hmmm....???

I would say it's when they stay there more then where they normally live/stay......

:D Depends on what kinda relationship it is I guess... See, I'm just wonderin if you have to move the big stuff in to be classified as such... or if small stuff puts you there too?

I was just messing with you Quin....in my very humble opinion, I think that if you are seriously dating someone then it's going to be standard to leave say a toothbrush or maybe a change of clothes or something....now if they bring the t.v. and the microwave over, then they're moved in....

its when they empty out your fridge.. or eat all the good stuff and leave behind the less desirable food...

i say clothes are pretty serious...that and their own brand of TP. if theyre there a week, theyre not moved in. But if theyre still there on the 8th day...theyre living with you

I'd say its when they spend more time at your apt then they do at their own place. A guy at work as all but moved in with his g/f but still has an apt... i can't understand why but he does.

The toothbrush doesn't really count, but if a b/f starts leaving behind clothing, a razor, buys food and goes to bed with you 5 nights a week he's basically moved in, guess you gotta wonder where he is the other 2 nights though huh? When you start getting his mail, thats it he's in.

I'd say they are moved in when you Recieve their mail, they pay rent, they are there every night, and most of their S*** is in your place?

GirlRacer

see, more specifically, what I'm wondering is: Does it have to be like...verbally established? (I.E.-Yes, we live together)

Or can it just implied by all these little things?

juvenile
01-02-2003, 06:35 PM
It could be implied I guess.

wtf is this? I am so lost.. aren't we talking about moving in?

juvenile
01-02-2003, 11:56 PM
Yes. What she is asking is do both the people have to state it to each other, or can it just be implied that they are living together.

Kyle
01-02-2003, 11:58 PM
I think it has to be stated...

It 'should' be stated, but alot of the time, I don't think it is.

& Mt. Biker, we are talking about moving in. I'm just saying... it's gets sticky when someone just kinda starts living with you but it's not really a stated thing. They just kinda show up at your place every day. See what I'm saying?

I see what you're saying, guess it depends if you encourage it or not. If someone shows up and always gets in then you are encouraging their behaviour and they might take it the wrong way... this is one issue i've never dealt with so thats IMO

I think it's dealt with more by people w/their own place. Your friends come over & spend the night all the time, some of them WAY more than others. :paranoid:
