I just purchased a 2003 Accord EX w/L and I'm disappointed that the power door locks don't automatically engage at approx. 15mph like my old Caravan. Someone mentioned to me that their Chevy Blazer was the same until they programmed the locks by turning the ignition switch through a sequence, then pressing the door lock switch in a certain sequence. I found no mention of anything like this in the Accord's manual. With all the technical expertise here, maybe someone can steer me in the right direction. Thanks.

well i worked with a lot of accords and none of them seemed too lock by themselves unless they got a viper or a compustar alarm. i don't know why but i find that feature annoying.

Sounds like I'm SOL. I should have known that if there was no info about them in the owner's manual, there's no way to do it. Yeah, I'm not particularly fond of the looks of the rear 03 Accord sedan...the coupe looks much better, but with a family, I need the 4 doors. I am impressed, however, with the disc brakes all around, ABS, and the 5 speed automatic. At 65mph, the engine is only turning about 2k rpm.

i was wondering about that automatic lock when i first got mine. my friend's bmw got that automatic lock done. it took them like 15 minutes to do through a computer. but thats bmw. i just called my dealership. they said they couldnt do it. she said for me to call an alarm place to see if they can do it. o well, now i have to go out of my way to push the button to lock the doors...notice the sarcasm : ) hope everyone has a safe and happy new year
