Any of you people read for the sack of reading for enjoyment? I mean you get books that you like to read just for yourself, not for a class or anything like that?
I've recently found out that I'm beginning to read more and more (something I hated just a few years back.) I used to read 1-2 books per year just for myself. Now I'm finishing my 4th book since September. I stay up just to keep on reading and when I put down a book, I force myself to do so because I tell myself I need sleep haha.
Anyways, I pretty much only read fantasy. I like to get away from all the stuff in the world that I live in and enter a totally different one, thus the reason I read fantasy. The stuff I love the most is the type of stuff that J.R.R Tolkeins wrote (Lord of The Rings books). I haven't actually read his books, and since I saw the first movie and will see the second one soon, I'm debating wether I should or not. We'll see later on how I feel. I still have a lot to read.
Anyways, do you read books and if so, what kind of books do you read? (If it's fantasy, I got a really nice list I downloaded a while back that lists a lot of authors and is very nicely organized.)

I read a book every 2 days.
I read the dragonlance series currently because their are alot of them, they are very well written. Im big into fantasy as well, something about stuff that can never happen that intrigues (sp) me.
You owe it to yourself to read LOTR, i read them all in 3 days a few years back, damn are they good.
I love to read, i do it at work (im a security guard) i just finished a Dragonlance novel called "The Thieves Guild" today, it was very good, one of the books where you cant put it down.
Anyway, ya..

Well...it's hard for me to find the time to read books just for me. It takes me so long to get through a book typically cuz of not having time, I tend to forget what happened in the beginning. So, basically I only read books over the summer cuz then I don't get interrupted as much. I'm not so in to the fantasy books. I'm a HUGE fan of Dean Koontz and Stephan King. I like that horror/mystery type stuff that seems really off the wall and couldn't actually happen, but in all reality it could happen. I read magazines a lot just to get some reading in.
The next book I want to read though is the Bible, cuz well...I've never read it before.
yeah...i mostly just read magazines...scc...turbo...super street...whatever...but i think everyone should take time to read LOTR and Harry Potter

Wow...I thought people would make fun of me haha. :D
I recall reading something with dragonlance (could be somethign else...alot of dragon liek title books floating around) but I'll check it out.
I'm just done reading the 4th book of the last of the Shannara books (read all three first ones...now this is the 4 book series that ends with Talismans of Shannara) by Terry Brooks. I must say excellent books! I loved em!
I'm attaching the fantasy authors book list...check it out! Very nicely organized.

I bought a Beautiful Mind a few months ago but I never got a chance to read it so I started yesterday because I'm really sick :pukey I like all those true crime books too. I don't know why but learning about why people do the crazy things that they do fascinates me. I also just got into Thomas Harris recently (Silence of the Lambs). I read Super Street too. That magazine is too funny.

Isn't that a really stupid book? I think I read it in school........about a kid who has a very depressing life and is kinda pyscho? Maybe it's a different book.
I read Koontz, Clancy, and Maxim;)
