three responses and no one answers him...poor guy.

Well, I don't know if i can either. ive never dealt with the newer civics. I think the center peice that you want is all connected together. Like from the environment controls, down past the stereo, down to your shifter. All of that has to come out. Lay down on your passenger side floor and look at the backside of the center console. There should be mounting screws, but I couldnt tell you where. There should probably also be some screws olong the sides by the shifter, and/or farther back. DONT LOSE THE SCREWS. It sucks when you cant put your dash back together. Also, you'll have to remove your shift knob. it just screws off. (dont paint it.)

again, dont rush your paint job. do many coats, and allow it the dry. Then do a few clear coats.

Thanks for your response!

We didn't have an answer, but it's best to let ppl know why their thread has been closed, moved, merged and so forth; makes for less hard feelings in the long run. No disrespect was intended...

On the 99-00 Civics, the center console is ONE piece.

Not sure on the 01+ though.

Clips. It required some force to get it out. They are little snap in clips(metal).

you should get a helms manual yo!

they be having pictures/directions up in that piece.

be careful though you can snap the piece while pulling it.

The Chilton or Helms may not be out yet.

www.helminc.com is where to get the Helms manual.

it'd be helpful if you posted a pic of the dash. but I just did this on a 92-95 thisweekend...

on mine THERE IS a screw holding the panel on UNDERNEATH THE HAZARD SWITCH. your best bet is to pry out any buttons/clock CAREFULLY... there will proboly be a screw hidden behind one of them. once this is removed you need to use moderate to healthy force to pull the piece out.

Then you just dis-connect the wire harness' to the switch and clock.

If this doesn't help I suggest contacting helms inc. they should have a manual they usually are ready before the car is released.

good luck.

step up the size screw driver your prying with at least once.

I started with a really small flat head then went to like a #2.

It was kind of a pain in the a... but with patience it came out.

good luck
